Say No
On February 18, 2016, ProjecX dropped their first video, “Say No”.
“Say No” delivers a powerful and timely musical message that puts a fresh new spin on the failed war on drugs, “Just Say No” slogan. The video is targeted to school aged children during a time when heroin addiction is rising and overdose deaths has become major concern in Missouri and across the country; prompting a “heroin epidemic” declaration from some presidential candidates.
ProjecX, a popular St. Louis singing group, will literally be delivering their message directly to their target audience as they perform at a number of St. Louis area schools. Sonny Metcalf, the group’s manager, stated: “The right song can reach hearts, stir souls and change minds, which is what the guys hope to do with ‘Say No’; if music soothes the savage beast, maybe it can prevent monkeys from jumping onto backs.”
